That is also a terrible sentence as well. It is more offensive to me than the ad campaign. :-)

I hope that the "documentary" shows the negative reactions and not just the select commercial-perfect ones. It would probably be interesting to watch.

Please, poverty is relative. What may seem poverty to some Manhattan socialite may be the lap of luxury for the villager. None of those people in the picture looked like they were in poverty. Now taking the campaign to a place of famine, where people are dying for lack of food such as places in Africa, that would be offensive. Asking some non-american who has never tried a fast-food burger their opinion is not offensive.

The idea that because they live in a village without the benefit of HBO doesn't mean they are living in poverty. The fact that the author equates such a life to poverty says a lot about that person. As does such stupid, meaningless and insulting comments like

Holey crap, just as I'm reading this post, a Whopper Virgin commercial comes on the TV.

Cue Twilight Zone music.

I think we can all agree that people that don't eat BK or MCD will definitely have some diarrhea in their near future.
