Signed! And letters written to all parties, and the GG.

I love politics. I hate this coalition.

I love how so many Canadians think that someone is taking power. No one voted for Harper, they voted for seats in parlament. Everyones representative is still there, the only difference is the appointed minister.

Honestly, what did they think was going to happen? about to cut every other parties funding to 25% of the tories, disregarding the opposition, the libs are only going to take so much abuse. And painting all of quebec as seperatists ia a gross generalization, even though the vocal ones are the ones always on tv.

While I am a hardcore green party supporter, I think this is a good thing, at least better then the american style, where its almost impossible to get someone out of the top seat.

P.S. and I am sure in true Canadian style, Harper will back down, play it reasonable, then the coalition will have to do the same since he's giving them what they want, (60% of the country having a say in its economic policy) or... he can go back to nationalist fervor, stereotypical hypocratic finger waving, and the coalition will play hardball. I honestly hope for the former.

That's true. However, in the 2008 election, the Liberal party lost a walloping 27 seats -- more than any other party. Do you think this could possibly mean that Canadians don't particularly care for the idea of the Liberals leading the country? And they will be, since the coalition will most likely be appointing Dion as their leader.

(I won't even mention the fact that the Liberals are planning a convention early next year to find a new leader. How this is going to work if the coalition is in control and Dion is Prime Minister is anybody's guess.)

I'm sure harper will come to his senses before the new year, at least he better, or he better start praying he can get some people to cross the floor
