wow... I mean WOW... I am poor photochopper, but even I know that everything is reflected on water... even I am not that bad...

And what gets me is that this entry is from a guy in India. A lot of Indian dudes have been taking jobs right from under me...

Curious how he got everything but the most fundamental aspect of his composite correct.

What about the lettering on top of the clouds in the "sky?"

That doesn't seem like it should be there either.

Anyone else notice that?

i didn't notice any words on the clouds...where exactly do you see them clscott?

I am a graphic designer by trade, and I have to say that this idea really could have passed without anyone noticing, had the person just taken a little bit of time to think out their idea!

In theory this photoshop is cool, but still CHEATING in terms of the contest! Shame on Natl Geo for not noticing!! It is so obvious!

Now I want to go try this one out on my own, but correctly this time!

i didn't see it before, but i see it now. it's along the top of the image; it looks like a partially cropped-off copyright, but i can't tell what it says. another red flag NG missed ...

oh, clscott, what you are seeing is a screen shot, the words appear to be a watermark, but do not appear on the photo that is on the contest page..it says "from a different angle" which is the name of the site that hosts the screen shot

What gets me is that it's NOT A REFLECTION

It's a continuation of the clouds above it.

However, he is a very good photographer, I just think this is fake.

What I don't get is why NG keeps it up. Enough people must've noticed by now and informed them...

I know that everyone was saying that it wasn't a good reflection at all.

What I was saying was that the clouds above the "water line" continue in perfect form below it. A reflection would have an opposite direction change. It does not even look like he attempted to make it a reflection, nor do I understand why people are calling it a reflection, as bad of a "reflection" as it is.
