I think that its sad that something like this is needed in this day and age..

But I do see it as not a cosmetic thing, but more as a way to save the oppressed lives of the 'virgin' wives that many religions demand, and the 'honour' killings that can, and do happen a lot afterwards.

There's no real plus sides, and it's kind of like rushing off to get married without ever having a conversation with your partner. A big area of the relationship where you know nothing about the person you're about to commit to. I'd say it borders irresponsible.

I wholeheartedly agree. I had a girlfriend once, where we snuck off from a wedding party where we met and made out, and it was amazing, so I assumed that sex with her would have been spectacular.

I was in for a pretty big letdown. So if we were both "wait until marriage" types, I would be pretty miserable right now.
