I thought this was going to be a more varied list that spans more video game consoles... From Coloco vision to PS3. Not just 2-3 games out of millions...

I think out of the entire list, I'll give a quick brief nod to the Chemical Brothers in Wipeout. Not because of it being a particularly awesome piece of music, but it fit the game, and if my memory serves me correctly, it was one of the first video games with a CD soundtrack created by actual famous recording artists. And it did add to the gaming experience too, rather than completely defining it.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to click through a website 25 times to get a list of top 25.

How difficult would it be to put the whole list on one page?

BTW, not frustrated with the poster, of the article, but the website, itself.

I thought the same thing. What about Final Fantasy? Legend of Zelda? Super Mario (not a particularly AMAZING song, but has definitely been a big one throughout video game history).

Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, Grand Theft Auto.. and one song for Quake.

Not a very 'comprehensive' list by any stretch.

That was a bloody awful list. I get the feeling whoever made the list isn't exactly big on gaming. The variety in both games and songs on that list pretty much says everything.
Seriously, I could think of a lot of games with amazing soundtracks.
No Shinin' from Lumines? No Heavenly Star from Lumines 2 and No More Heroes? What about the entire Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack? Nothing from Metal Gear Solid? Any of them? No Still Alive from Portal? Seriously? Nothing from any of the Final Fantasy series? Hell, if they wanted to keep going with GTA, THPS, RB and Guitar Hero, they could have at least gone with O Tebe from GTA IV.

Do I need to keep going with this list?
