I don't really think so. I think the article goes too far to make their case. Obviously he said racist slang... but I disagree with the argument under context. Though i've not served in the military, I have been in many similar situations where nicknames (etc) were given to other guys in the party that normally would be considered racist or offensive. But when under the particular circumstance is a term of endearment. I've worked with black guys before that mocked my white behaviors and i mocked their black behaviors.... We weren't being racist... we were jokingly acknowledging our differences. And how is "raghead" racist? I'm sorry... but it is an identifying term. It does not mock color of skin. It states that (in this case) the enemy more often than not is wearing a cloth or "rag" on their head... ugh.. sorry... I'm just so tired of this pc crap.
