Screw this law! I will laugh when pit bull advocacy groups abscond with the whole lot of them and there are none left to be executed (assuming this rediculous law passes, which it better not).

This is disgusting. I especially hate that they refer to the euthanasia as "destruction" or "destroy".

I live in Montana and I can assure you that we are not all this crazy.

Seems to me there are enough gun owners in Montana to make enforcing this law a very sticky situation.

I could go on forever about the ill effects and hidden agendas over BSL. Not to mention how it DOES NOT WORK. Studies show that cities that institute BSL, never see a decline in dog bite cases.

Me too. I have a fair amount of faith that this won't pass. ("fair" meaning that people also often suck when you don't expect them to, so I can't say "good")

Upon reading this bill, it seems as though owners of bullies can register their dogs prior to the date that the bill goes into effect, provided the dog is unable to breed, to prevent them from being euthanized. Any unregistered dogs, or any dogs that are born after or brought into the state after the legislation goes into effect, are fair game to be put down. With enough fear behind it, this bill could pass.

The pieces of "human" filth that try to pass laws like this should be the ones "destroyed". Also the words "destruction" and "destroy" are used because they make it sound like your not talking about a living thing. You destroy a building, you kill an animal.

I know, it's sickening.

There is a guy that stands outside the grocery store by my house sometimes and asks for change. He has a really handsome pitty and it looks healthier than he does. I think I might get them a sandwich next time I see them.

Simply put, this bill is retarded. I agree that BSL is a bad idea, but what I really hate is that because of the (willful) ignorance of some people, that families will get torn apart and that probably millions of innocent animals will be killed. It's a genocide, and simply horrific that people would consider doing this.

I remember even seeing a study that attempted to categorize aggression by breed (which admittedly would get dubious when it comes to sample populations and mixed-breeds, anyway) have shown that pit bulls are on the average to below-average range in the aggression scale. It saddens me that this "breedism" exists. I sincerely hope this bill doesn't go through.
