I suppose these thugs didn't get enough love as children (removes tongue from cheek).

This is the type of wasted DNA for which society has no use. It may seem cold hearted but I have no sympathy for people who engage in this type of behavior. Granted I don't know all of the details of the mugger's past, yet I can't think of anything that would "excuse" such criminal behavior.
