Injured Bears Rescued From Bile Farms in China
Injured Bears Rescued From Bile Farms in China
A dozen Asiatic black bears, malnourished and diseased from years spent on abusive bile-harvesting farms in southwest China, were recovering Saturday after being handed over to an animal charity group. The Animals Asia Foundation took in the bears from state-approved farms where holes were cut in their abdomens so that their bile could drip out to be harvested and used in Chinese traditional medicine.

That is so beyond pathetic, cutting holes in their stomachs for the bile to drip...how inhumane! :(

China has horrible animal cruelty so I'm really not surprised by this.

Their fur trade is horrendous. They cage dogs and cats, and skin them alive.

One country I will never ever visit.

So f**ked up! But I'm not surprised the Chinese are involved if colossal animal cruelty is concerned. Then there are the Japanese with slaughtering dolphins and cutting off shark fins. Ugh...

Only slightly more invasive and horrific than our own Premarin farms!
