Dark Victory, Wizard of Oz, Wuthering Heights, and Gone With the Wind were all made in 1939.

Dark Victory has a VERY young Ronald Reagan playing a vapid male socialite, and the costumes are AWESOME!

Shirley Temple, The Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers were all actively filming comedy and light fare during the decade.

The Lady Vanishes, the Thin Man, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Mutiny on the Bounty, King Kong, The Women, She Done Him Wrong, The Adventures of Robin Hood, soooo many GREAT movies from the 30's!
