 Ultrasonic Bath: Human washing machine
Ultrasonic Bath: Human washing machine
At the 1970 World Expo in Osaka, consumer electronics maker Sanyo demonstrated their vision for the future by showcasing a series of appliances they thought would populate the home of tomorrow. Included was the Ultrasonic Bath, a pod-like human washing machine that cleans, massages and dries the user in a fully automated 15-minute process. picked by AutumnLotus 9 months ago

I can accomplish pretty much the same thing in the shower with a few minutes to spare.

The self massage might add a few minutes.

I bet it works pretty well. My wife has one of those little ultrasonic jewelry cleaners. When I was doing mechanic work, I would dip my fingers in it to get the grease out from under my fingernails. Worked like a champ.

Wow, this sounds like a Sonic Shower from star trek.
This can really be useful for conserving water, I think we should research into this!

I want the one from the first issue of Transmetropolitan which would also remove any hair you specified - permanently!

That human washing machine would be perfect for people who are unable to bathe themselves (disabled, elderly, etc).

Presumably that would be a modified version that you don't have to climb a ladder to get into...
