Witnessing what Darwin could only dream of: live evolution
Witnessing what Darwin could only dream of: live evolution
For the first time, scientists were able to demonstrate that the coevolutionary process is dependent on ecological conditions. Indeed, under certain conditions, the prey becomes resistant to the predator, which itself evolves so that it can attack this new prey. picked by AutumnLotus 9 months ago

Fascinating! Using bacteria means that they can encourage evolution of species through many generations.

I read about something like this previously, but it wasn't codependent evolution, particularly, but rather an isolated group of bacteria that evolved separately from the rest due to environmental factors. Fascinating.

That's like Spore, but then for real.

I'd love to see fast-forward video of this. I wonder what this will do to the teaching of Evolutionary Theory. Of course it doesn't PROVE the evolution of all other things, but it certainly proves survival of the fittest.

Oh geez. Are we going to have to explain how a scientific theory is different than a layperson's theory, again?

Haha, good point. Maybe I shouldn't have bolded that. I meant more that this will probably affect some of the real creationists who completely oppose evolution.

Sorry, hope you weren't typing pages of explanation about this ready to copy-paste it :)

(I'm rambler's son, he'd be pretty disappointment if I didn't get the idea of a scientific theory.)
