It's interesting to see that this is happening outside the US as well. I understand the frustration, but still side with the clerk.

Hmmm...

If I ask everyone to show me an ID, I get to keep my job, which means I can pay my rent, feed my child, blah, blah, blah.

I'm not saying agree with the store policy, I agree it's inane, but that doesn't mean it's the clerks fault.

And I'm old enough to seldom get carded but not so old that I don't recall the days when having a job, even a crap one enforcing stupid rules, was important enough not to risk losing.
