Stairway to the Sky With Diamonds Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
...or something. What would it sound like if The Beatles sang Stairway to Heaven? It would sound like this. Mind-bending, yet good!

US says it has right to kidnap British citizens Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
They don't even have to call you a terrorist. The American government has for the first time made it clear in a British court that the law applies to anyone, British or otherwise, suspected of a crime by Washington.

The image depicts a DOJ applicant reading his resume aloud for the camera.

Hurry up and wait with Vista Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
Vista with SP1 vs. XP with SP3 (both beta).
Three guesses which one is twice as fast.

Microsoft responds: We'll fix that once we're out of beta. We'll just cripple XP to run much slower.

Deadly. Rooms. Of. Death. Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
DROD is a classic (downloadable) puzzle game for Windows/OS X/Linux. It may be old, but the graphics and sound are as good as the better modern Flash games. There are three versions, each with 350 levels, and all are free (click the "play now" links).

DROD is a required download for puzzle game fans. No, really. I require that you download it.

Melissa Etheridge doesn't just cover a Janis Joplin tune, she smothers it! Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
Melissa Etheridge singing Piece of my Heart at the 2005 Grammys will kick your speakers across the room and bring tears to your eyes, especially if you know the story behind the performance. Wow.

(Oh yeah. That's Joss Stone unwisely sharing the same stage with her. Like a kitten in a tiger cage.)

The first terabyte 3.5" hard drive has been released Posted: 2 years ago by Galoot
Imagine one thousand thousand thousand thousand bytes.

That's over 13 80GB iPods' worth of storage (a quarter million MP3s), 1500 CD-ROMs (615 feet if laid end-to-end), and one estimate of the human brain's memory capacity (GWB excluded).

Warning: Like most annoying MySpace pages, a video starts playing from the start. Watch your volume.
