Do not even attempt it if you've got a poor (or even mediocre) connection. If you're connection's good, and you've got a few hours to kill you'll enjoy this point and click game. Info.

FRONTLINE - Eye of the storm or A Class Divided Posted: 9 months ago by Turtle
This film is about an Iowa schoolteacher who, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered in 1968, gave her third-grade students a first-hand experience in the meaning of discrimination. This is the story of what she taught the children, and the impact that lesson had on their lives."
This teacher was able to get a very life altering view point of understanding across to young children with simple eye colour segregation...

Freedom of Assembly/Speech Posted: 10 months ago by Turtle
An excellent vid showing the tactics used by police to disrupt a march in New York against an alleged 'police state'.
It is particularly good because it was shot by a Polish Immigrant who had lived under the late Leninist regime and remarked that the US police used exactly the same underhand tactics that the Polish state thugs used to suppress protests there.
It certainly begs the question; America land of the free?

"The ethical implications are such that this approach should not be used in humans, or is it technically possible at this time to efficiently introduce genes into human skeletal muscle, in order to mimic the effect seen in our mice," Hanson says. One wonders if the Defense Department feels the same way. (Or maybe the DoD will just use super mice to go after Iran?)

Darth Abdullah - One was very amused. Posted: 10 months ago by Turtle
Earlier this week,King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia arrived at Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen, the military band decided to play him a rather unique welcome. Given Saudi Arabia’s horrendous human rights record (detailed to some extent in the remainder of the video), Darth Vader’s theme music seems rather appropriate.
