Interests; Science & Music
I earned an M.S. in behavioral/evolutionary biology. My thesis consisted of a functional study of prey strike behavior in Barred owls and Red-tailed hawks. My main interest is "form and function" relative to adaptation.
As of now I teach biology at a local community college as well as teach music on the weekends (gotta supplement that state pay.). I was involved in research pretty much through the 90's, and started teaching in 2000.
I have been playing music for around 36 years now. Guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin are the main instruments of choice. I enjoy most styles of music; bluegrass, folk, blues, jazz. Giving lessons pretty much paid for grad school.
