The "Hockey Night in Canada" anthem has been bought-out from under the presiding and presumptuous previous user, Canada's own C(anadian)B(roadcast)C(orporation).
"We're probably going to be accused of bungling this," (CBC representative) Moore said. "But I don’t know if a deal was ever possible."
Well, apparently, a deal WAS possible with a rival Canadian network, which, thanks to bungling, now owns rights to the anthem. Nice try on spinning a bad play, CBC.
