It's best if you don't know. The complexity of it would destroy your brain cells and I need their nutricious value if I am to survive by feeding on your gray matter.

Crimes against humanity in WWII - So it's not forgotten or denied Posted: 8 months ago by palmieres
Following the news of the decision of the UK's Dep of Education to pull out the Holocaust from school manuals in order not to offend the Islamic comunity, and after receiving a chain email concerning this very subject.

“General Eisenhower understood that many people would be unable to comprehend the full scope of this horror. He also understood that any human deeds that were so utterly evil might eventually be challenged or even denied as being literally unbelievable. For these reasons he ordered that all the civilian news media and military combat camera units be required to visit the camps and record their observations in print, pictures and film. As he explained to General Marshall, “I made the visit deliberately, in order to be in a position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to ‘propaganda.’”

The Islamic comunity is so uninformed that some won't even consider not only jews died at the hands of Nazi cruelty, even if ALL should be remembered.

Vanilla Ice - 'Cool as Ice' Posted: 9 months ago by palmieres
I've read this I don't know how many times... maybe to remember a friend I had in high school who thought this was a good movie and quoted it often (he was a huge Vanilla Ice fan - hey, back then it was kind of normal). Again, kind of a long read, but SO worth the 10 minutes you waste on it.
(Sorry, can't seem to be able to upload one single image and there're none of Mr Ice in the library (WTF?)

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky Posted: 9 months ago by palmieres
Behold Riki-Oh, the hero with the bullet-ridden torso who fights to the death for his fellow prisioners after knowing them for a full 5 minutes!
I-Mockery's account of the 1991 martial arts movie based the Japanese manga of the same name. A bit long, but it's worth the read because it's so f-ing funny.
I'll link the one on Vanila Ice's 'Cool as Ice' movie next.

Harpo Speaks! Posted: 10 months ago by palmieres
I just noticed 'A Night At The Opera' is playing on 'TCM' and I began wondering why Harpo Marx never spoke. In fact, he did and had a surprisingly pleasant voice. (slightly NSFW language)
