Christian Parenting Movie Reviews Can Be Perplexing
Try to guess the movie based solely on the review. Here is an excerpt from one of them:Some wooden puppets wear plumber's pants, exposing painted bottom cleavage. A female dragon falls in love with a donkey. We see a gingerbread cookie shaped like a man being tortured by being dunked into a glass of milk. picked by 2manyusernames 7 months ago

While I agree that some of the reviews were outrageous, I was surprised at how mild the listed reviews were for Borat and Team America. I might have given them harsher reviews (and I really liked Borat! Team America - not quite so much).

So, about conservative/Christian reviews...

Well, here's one thing I'd like to clear up.

For starters, I was/am actively involved in a christian game review site (www.ccgr.org) which gets a ton of flack on other forums, etc, for the reviews (including hacking attacks).
I have written a review for them, as well

What I'm saying is pretty representative of the view of the majority of reviewers. We've even had an atheist reviewer/moderator. No joke. Good guy, too.

We're not trying to tell you what you should or should not watch. We're merely trying to inform you what's in it. Dealing with many ultra-conservatives, they get really pissy about little things here and there and all we're doing is telling them what's in it.

In my review, I talked about a pentagram and some low cut outfits in the particular game. Do I care? No. But I know many of the people frequenting the site do.

And frankly, trying to cater to uber-sensitive people can lead to interesting results.
