The "Ten Commandments" is required viewing in my household. Even when it was on this past Easter (Why the heck is it on during Easter? It has nothing to do with Easter... it's the Passover story. Passover sometimes hits around Easter... and sometimes it doesn't... this was a "doesn't" year. But it was still on for Easter! Well, anyway...) and we caught a glimpse of it while flipping the channels, my mother insisted we watch.

What a great (although biblically inaccurate) film. Charlton was a heck of an actor.

I commend the man for his acting ability, and consider the Hollywood acting pool to be rendered less interesting by his passage.

However, WHAT a freakshow he was, eh?

He marched along side MLK, stood strong for his beliefs, married for 64 years, won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award...one of the good guys, and definitly a man's man.
