Cover Song Ping Pong

Alright... It sounds like fun in my head... Hopefully it makes sense.

I'm going to post a song and you have to find either a cover version of that song on youtube -OR- another song by that artist/band/whatever that someone else has covered or that is a cover itself.

For instance...

Big Mama Thornton's "Hound Dog"

<a href='http://www.plime.com/redir.p?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XUAg1_A7IE' class='plime' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'><b>flash video</b></a>

the next logical step is to put up Elvis' cover of the song, or any other cover version of the song. The other option is to find another Big Mama Thornton song that has been remade or is a remake.

The only rule is that you cannot lead us to a dead-end. What this means is; no one hit wonder bands that have no other cover songs and no one has covered them. Try and keep the thread going.

Does that make at least a little sense? Okay, go. First song is already posted; Big Mama Thornton's Hound Dog.

*ahem*

I know I didn't do the best job of initially explaining this idea, so just to clarify the rules of this game...

The post above you is what you are basing your post on. Your post should be either a different band/artist covering the same song, or a different song by the same artist (if you go with this option, it must be a song that some other band/artist has done).

Okay, sorry about that.

Game on.

since the dead are still on the table, and I don't feel like going the johnny b goode route; I offer Sublime's cover of Scarlet Begonias.

Sublime covers "Legalize It", a song from Peter Tosh (former member of The Wailers (as in: Bob Marley and The Wailers))

**additional info on artist was given only to help future posters who may not know as much about the musician

or... if you don't want to follow the rules (clansman), I guess I'll make the bridge for you with this video so that your post makes sense.

Well this is pretty close, how about a different band doing the original version of a song that the same artist covers..lol that is confusing

Though Bad Religion isn't a dead end, any of the other bands that covered any of their songs seem to be. Are there any songs that Bad Religion performed that they didn't write? I couldn't come up with one but I'm not the hugest follower of the band, so I could be missing something. If anyone can come up with something, please do. Or else *sniff* I think this thread will die.
