Actually it's not that an uncommon skill among autistic savants for example:

Quoted from the article:
Music is another common savant ability. Many performers with autism have perfect pitch and also have a great memory for music. In some cases, a person can hear a classical piece once and play it back in its entirety. Tim Baley, who also has Fragile X, is a concert pianist and the piano player for Hi Hopes, a musical group of singers and performers with autism and/or mental retardation. Hi Hopes played at the Los Angeles autism conference a few years ago and have even played at the White House.

It is also known that a lack of one sense typically leads to a sharpening of another. As in the case of Stevie Wonder, her lack of vision could have caused a marked increase in her perception of sound.

While I do think this is amazing...I certainly could not play back something that quickly and that flawlessly...I don't think she should be compared to Mozart. He was composing music at her age. Yes, I am a killjoy too. Sorry. She is quite amazing tho. And I hope her parents can utilize and grow her talent rather than exploit it.

Sorry about that.

I didn't mean to denigrate her in any way, just that others have had the same skill. I do thnk calling her the new Mozart is a bit of a stretch tho.

How ironic.. I was playing Fur Elise on our organ right before I got on the computer. I must say she messed up a couple parts, but she's five and that's pretty neat.

Also, wasn't Mozart deaf? Or was that Beethoven? I forget.

It was Beethoven, but he didn't let that stop him from composing. He cut the legs off of a grand piano and would lay his head on the floor and pound on the keys so that he could feel the vibrations and find the right notes. In one of his final concerts he had to be turned to the audience to see that they were applauding because he wasn't aware of it.
