So what is everyone doing for the summer? Where are you taking your vacations and how are you going to try and take a break from life (work or school). This could be anything from a weekend excursions to 2 months in the Caribbean.

I am going to try and start SCUBA diving again! or at least thats my plan. I also am going to try and enjoy the smokies as much as I can since I'll be living and working right next to them in Asheville NC.

Wishing it would be Cancun again but most likely the Outer Banks in September.

Rise in gas, groceries, etc. kind of crunched the Cancun budget.

No vacations here. Family is coming in the end of June first part of July. We may make a couple of trips to the beach. Next year we will be having a family reunion...here....hahahaha....hmmmm....never mind....

no vacation for us... plan on spending my whole summer here at home and at the pool with the kids. Well, also planning on going to see my family, but wouldn't really call that a vacation..hehe.

Summer... Vacation? I might have heard of that before.

*mumbles unintelligibly*

No vacations for the Marli family. We would have, probably, if my husband hadn't lost his job. As it is, he won't be eligible for vacation time until his 1-year anniversary at his new job. If we had the paid time off, we probably would have gone to South Carolina to visit his dad & step mom, because we haven't seen them in about a year.


Weekend excursions we'll do, though. We always do at least one day of going to forts along the coast. We also go back to Portland Head Light/Fort Williams State Park once a year, usually, because that's where we got married.

We go to a couple different wildlife parks each summer, and I'm sure I will have at least a weekend or two in Boston with some friends.


Ohhhh I almost forgot, my aunts are renting out a camp for two weeks, and it is actually closer to my husband's job than we live. So I am thinking of asking some friends of ours to housesit and dogsit for us for a week so that we can stay there. Unfortunately, no dogs allowed at the camp, so we need to find someone to stay with the boys.
