Sorry, not really you but having bad times at work. It happens all the time to me and is extremely stressful.

one day in the not so far away future you will understand what it's like to be on the other side of your peeves and why people do them. hopefully you can remember how affected the other side can be. :)

I think I am actually pretty tolerant for the most part but the one thing I absolutely hate are those inconsiderate A-holes who walk around in public places with the bluetooth thingie in their ear, talking at the top of their lungs as if nobody else were there.

Case in point: I was in a sandwich shop the other day when one of these business cyborgs comes in. He's standing in line at the counter, looking indignantly at the cook and people next to him as if we were interrupting his lame business call by expecting him to shut the hell up and place an order.

EDIT: Add to this the guy who insists on carrying on business calls in the public restroom (sitting on da' crapper or one hand on the phone and one hand on...)

I hate environmentalists....they always show up at my college and say "Do you have a minute for the environment?" No...I don't have a minute for the environment. No, I won't give you money. I am a college student....I am broke. I'm headed to class. I don't have time for you. I need to pass my classes. I also hate them, because I'll walk around to avoid them, and they go and cut me off and stop me. I just wanna kick them in the head. It's always this same group, too. I have others, but this is the main one, currently.

I actually tend to do that, just out of habit. I upvote pretty much everyone's comments when I participate in a forum, and I just end up upvoting mine as well, because I'm slightly OCD and I feel like I kind of have to, you know? Odd habit, I know.

As many already know, my biggest pet peeve is those who can speak English, but can't write it. Particularly those who don't use apostrophes or, possibly worse, use them when they're not needed. Come on people, it's not hard.

The easiest was to "push my buttons" (I'll avoid the pet peeve term) personally is to make me repeat myself. And don't get any cute ideas and posting "huh?"..it's one of the reason I like forums and email..if you're not paying attention the first time you can waste YOUR OWN time and re-read it. :)

And..as is apparent in a recent comment I made elsewhere on PLIME...I'm sick of young parents not being respectful to each other and to their children because I know one day that little b*****d child of theirs is going to grow up and cut me off in traffic!

Which brings me to my MAIN annoyance..I hate the obvious decrease in the level of simple respect we as a society show to one another. Too many people think they're better than everybody else and think it's OK to be rude because they can.

And for Christ's sake...if you're going to work the cash register at an American fast food chain...Hable inglés!

It's actually "habla". "Hable" would be used if you were asking someone if they spoke English...but I agree with you, though.
