I don't like how people are dumber than caribou or cows when they're in crowded and/or confined spaces. People, no matter how hard you push down the airplane aisle, the door won't open any faster!!! And yelling at a flight attendant because of a mechanical issue causing a flight delay isn't going to help anything either - this morning I imagined big, angry man in a suit to be mooing instead of yelling at the poor flight attendant. It helped.

My other big travel peeve is oversize passengers who think I'll happily sacrifice all of my space so they can fit between me and the next guy. I don't enjoy someone else's thighs or hips on my lap for hours on end, nor do I like being almost suffocated by excess upper arm mass. I'd be okay if these individuals wouldn't complain about being uncomfortable for the entire trip, but hearing someone b***h and moan about how their back hurts and how airlines are ripoffs and how they're not comfortable while his elbow is jabbing me in the nose and his arms are slapping me in the face really grinds my gears. I swear, if I have another flight like that... I'm going to ask the pilot to pull over and threaten to turn around the plane unless tubby smartens up.

I'm getting airport rage. I need to go home :( though I suspect my people rage can be directly correlated to the limited amount of contact I've had with humans over the last several weeks.

I won't really be surprised of I turn out to be some hermit who lives in the mountains and chases away people someday.

I'm with you on this even though I've been guilty of posting a couple myself. I think there are a few exceptions if the list is unusual/interesting enough.

On a similar note I'm seriously considering dv'ing any post that start with "Reuters" such as this:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - California on Thursday took a major step forward on its global warming fight by unveiling an ambitious plan for clean cars, renewable energy and stringent caps on big polluting industries.

If you're going to submit every article from your Reuters RSS the very least you can do is write the description yourself or remove the "Reuters" part.

That sucks! I hope you get it straightened out. I ordered an item about 2 years ago, received it, and it was defective. I followed the company's instructions to return it, and I sent it back. A month after sending it back, nothing. No credit, no new item. So I contacted them and basically told them their customer service sucked and I expected a new product or a credit ASAP. They had the nerve to leave ME negative feedback.

Oh that sucks--I hope it works out well. We just had to return something that we bought--it was NOT as listed, not even close. We didn't really expected it to be correct, though, because of the price, but had to try. The seller was very nice, and great to work with.

First, I hate to iron clothing. I tend to avoid buying clothing that will require ironing. I will iron those items that absolutely require it, and for occassions that mandate a professional and un-wrinkled appearance.

Given that last point...WHY are graduates recieving their diploma in gowns that either a) sport the large creases showing it's just been unfolded or bO) look like they've been wadded up in the backseat of a car?!?

Well, you can still speak up and say what you feel is necssary, or say what you want. Like you just did, as a matter of fact. Yes, sometimes we can be silly, and we can be perverted, and we can be asshats, but there's still freedom of speech here. As long as you're respectful to each other. I'm just growing tired of the bickering and such, it's annoying me. I do agree that Plime can have a mob mentality sometimes, and it's stupid.

OK. It's not the funniest joke in the world, but I'm sure anyone who has worked in a support scenario will smile wryly at the truth of it.

LOL. So true, so very true. To top it off, the user then had the nerve to say bad things about me to the desktop support tech. I'm sure she used the word "b!tch" somewhere in describing me.

The big joke in my network department staff meeting this afternoon when I told my boss in front of my department that I pissed a user off, was, "Well, we can create an email account called 'I don't know' and an org box titled 'I don't know' and she can send an email from the 'I don't know' email account to the 'I don't know' org box.

I don't expect general users to understand my lingo, I just expect them to be able to describe to me what they want to do, then I can do my job and help them.

There's a man in hot air balloon that got caught by a strong wind and blown off target. As it drifts downwards and closer to the ground the man in the basket spots another man on the ground and calls down to him "Where am I?"

The man on the ground shouts back "You're in a basket under a hot air balloon that is currently about 30ft above the ground."

The man in the balloon says "Tell me something, are you in IT?"

The man on the ground answers that he is and asks how he knew.

"Well it's like this," he says. "Your answer to my question was 100% accurate but didn't help my situation out any."

I for instance live more than 30 minutes away from my job and that is by car. There is no sort of mass transit available for that kind of commute. Scooters are out of the question and a bicycle is really out of the question for that sort of distance.

Not ragging on you - I will admit that it galls me to hear people complain that petrol now costs them a quarter of what it costs me, but the real pain for all of us is that you're used to paying a certain amount of your wage on transport and suddenly that proportion has gone up dramatically without a change in wage.

My journey to work is about 30 miles each way too, and whilst it is technically possible to make the journey via public transport it would take over two hours and cost somewhere in the region of £25 ($49).

In both the US and the UK there will be people who travel less and people who travel more, but I'd hazard a guess that overall the mean distance is about the same. True enough, if you got in a car and headed in one direction you'd get further in the US before the water started coming in through the air vents, but most people don't go that far.

True enough, the longest commute to work I'm aware of is someone who travels* from his home in New York to his office in Miami, but I think he the exception rather than the rule.

Although overall it's fairly meaningless, in terms of physical size Europe is bigger than the USA but more sparsely populated so by that and that alone, statistically we have further to drive to see our nearest neighbour.

Anyway, my point is, as far as I'm concerned, you're welcome to b***h about the cost of petrol because it is sucky, but you've got to expect that other people of other nations are going to b***h too.

Think of it more like a bunch of old guys sitting around, drinking beer and arguing about whose sciatica plays up the most when there's a storm on the way.

*It's true, I swear, but I should maybe point out that he makes this 1,300 mile journey twice a week, not twice a day.

I was just wondering really. I have a few so i split them into catagories

Work

I work at my local YMCA and i tell people when to go down the slide. Its not that hard at all but it does get annying especially with the little kids every where. At work my biggest pet peeve is that the kids pay attention to everything you say while they are waiting in line to use the slide but as soon as they get up top the turn deaf. Then i have to scream my head off and look like a fool trying to get this kid to go down the slide, eventually they hear me but uggh. I have alot more in the work section but they are all similar and deal with little kids not listening.

Driving

Im 16 and dont even have my license yet (learners permit) but there is somthing that many expierienced dricers do (or dont do rather) that pisses me off and that is, they dont use turn signals. For one the fact that the person turn is so lazy and inconsiterate to warn people that they are turning irks me. Its not even that hard to do. Plus as I am new to driving this could also be dagerous and i dont want to crash do to someones laziness.

Not getting credit for things i do. This bugs me alot. Especially with my parents. I do things around the house for the sole pupose of getting their respect, but if we get into an arguement they now know that if they say, "you never do (whatever) around the house!" they made a mistake because I will freak out. I hate it when i also dont get noticed for when I go out of my way to do things at work or school. ( i know im sapoosed to go out of my way out of the kindness of my heart and people dont have to recognize you but im only human)
