I collect vintage video games and video game consoles. So far I have:

1. 8-bit NES
2. 16-bit SNES
3. Super-Gameboy
4. Gameboy SP
5. TurboGrafx-16 Turbo Duo
6. Dreamcast
7. Playstation 2
8. Wii

I have the original FinalFantasy for NES as well as Mega-man 1-6 also for NES. The original Castlevania, MarioBros 1-3, Gauntlet 1&2. I have Jap RPGs, Bonk 1&2 and Bomberman93 for the TG-16 and House of the Dead 2 for Dreamcast with 2 gun controlers. I have FF5, FF6, FF7, FF9, FFX, FFX-2, FFXII for PS2. And Twiglight Princess for Wii. I am set for now, maybe in the future I will expand the collection. I used to have an Atari 6400 with Pong, and others but it went ka-put.

On another note... I also collect Nutcrackers

All things Spuds. I have glasses, pictures, pins, posters and even Videos stored. Target Dog as well.

Also? Anything with Bees. I love bumblebees and honeybees! I would bee keep if TraumaPappa didn't fear them so much.

I never get stung and sometimes they have sat on my shoulder or arm and stung someone who put their arms around me. I pet their little fuzzy butts when they are deep in some of my flowers.

I wish I had enough money to collect Russian Nesting Dolls... because (and I don't care what anyone else says) they're bad-ass.

But they're expensive... so not yet.

One day, I'm gonna make one out of wood. I'll paint it to look like my family... but first I need to learn how to use the lathe better... and get a family. BUT, it's on the list!

I, like Eljay, collected stickers when I was younger. I had books and books of them and to count them one point I also had over 1000. Then it was Trolls.

Now, I collect anything Geiger Alien, American McGee Alice figures, Evil Queen items, and a few other misc. things.

In the past I have collected different comic books, as well as hockey trading cards. I still have a box of comics and a few binders of cards in the garage.

When I was a kid I also collected rocks. When we moved from Michigan to Texas the movers picked up a few boxes and said "What do you have in these? Rocks?", to which my father said "Yes". I don't collect those anymore, although when I went to college I was a geophysics major (didn't finish).

Nowadays, I don't collect much of anything. I do have an affinity for lighthouses, but not much of a collection. I have a small collection of playing cards and a smattering of collectible spoons.

Hello, my name is ReBoot, and I'm a compulsive neat-freak.

I collect dust. (Please note that I said "neat-freak" not "clean-freak". I can live with dust, but the dust must be well organized.)

I also collect books. As you might imagine, they're all perfectly arranged in alphabetical order by author, but some of them are quite dusty. Again, this doesn't bother me; it's orderly dust.

In remarkable contrast to my non-clean-freakiness, I'm a borderline mysophobe. Although, children and in-laws are helping me deal with that.

If you walked into my house right now, you'd see six vacuums. I'm not collecting them or anything, I just happen to have six vacuums in my living room. I do have a thing for vacuuming, but certainly not a compulsion.

Other than that, I recycle. That's not really a hobby though.

I still have the rocks, btw. They're in a purple flower box inside of a lime green box labeled "Molly's Childhood" on the floor of my side of our bedroom closet.

At the moment, my apartment is starting to feel like I'm collecting televisions and computer monitors. I have 5 TVs, 3 monitors... oh, and 4 printers. They don't all work, and they're not all hooked up... but they're are taking up a lot of space in this one-bedroom of mine.

As kid, I (too) collected stickers. I would put them in photo albums, and every once in a while, take out the scratch-and-sniffs.

But currently, I (too) like sorting things. Does that make me weird? I have like 5 full file boxes, 1 file cabinet, and all kinds of notebooks. I used to help my father by sorting out old screws and nails for him... and my mother by sorting out beads and stuff. I like being organized.

Crap, now even I think I'm weird.

I'm gonna go turn the lights on and off a few times... see if that does anything for me.

i used to collect the Weekend Plus section of the news paper. It came in Friday's paper and it had all the Art's & ent. stuff, Places to eat, and all the movie reviews.
Mostly for the movie section since i'm still pursuing my writing career.
Kind of read it to see if Ebert was wrong or right.

Shiny things...

My rocks are probably my longest standing collection. Most of them aren't rare or unusual, they're just attractive, caught my eye whilst I was out. A few semi-precious (turquoise, mostly), some fossils, lots of petrified wood.

Rubber ducks. No clue why, they just make me smile.

I have a large collection of antique fishing rods, reels, and lures.

My dad called me last night and told me he had found an odd fishing rod and reel with the name Bryant Bannister on the side.

I collect weird and neat rocks.

I've been doing it since I was a kid, though this hobby was worsened with age and education. I think I'm getting better about it, but we'll see. My most recent acquisition was a nice slab of beautiful ripple marks in 1.6-1.3Ga sandstone. I have buckets and buckets of my rocks in my parent's garage. I'm thinking of taking a rocksaw to some of them, so that I'll only have a little slice of the rock instead of the whole thing.

I was known as 'the Hippie' by many at my high school.
Maybe this was due to my ever present love of the beatles, my old collection of tie dye shirts, my vegetarian diet, my hair that grew past my waist... no it must have been the flipflops.

I don't have any pics, but I went to my 8th grade graduation wearing bell bottoms, a tie dyed shirts, and a leather fringe jacket.

I've since tried to be more subtle about my hippie ways. (even cut my hair)

Hmmmmm....no nicknames from my collections..."Stickers" I love it! :D As an adult , I was always--still do--telling blond jokes. My co-workers dubbed me "Blondie" that one did stick for a while.

In my freshman year of high school, my friend and I would wear stickers on our faces every single day. Some people in my bio class started calling me Stickers, and I was in enough classes with one of them in the past two years for that name to stick.

when I was a kid it was stickers. Any kind you could imagine. I had over a thousand.

As a teenager my walls were littered with photos of Ralph Macchio, and later replaced by The Monkees. I still have 4 photo albums filled with pictures of them...somewhere.

Later it was Quantum Leap. I recorded EVERY show. I know longer have them, but I do have at least one photo album filled with photos. Somewhere.

Now I have a collection of limited addition Barbies. To name a few: Scarlett O'Hara, Marilyn Monroe, Bewitched, Dorothy and so on.

I also have porcelain dolls. A collection of cows due to a long running joke.

Anyways! Do you guys have any collections, or compulsions that can be passed off as a collection, or anything of the sort?

Do you love sorting things? Collecting weird rocks, signs, or quotes? Do you hoard things? Do you love donating things? This is getting pretty broad...

I like organizing and renaming my files, and keeping my hard drives neat and tidy. So at least something in my room is organized...

I've also collected license plates since I was ten or so, and decided I'd start writing down license plate numbers I saw, and what state or place they're from, and keep them all in a notebook. There are probably at least four notebooks I try keeping all of that in, but another one of my habits is losing things very easily...

So what's your hobby/collection/compulsion?
