Ah yes, engineering humor.

Here's a favorite of mine, on the NASA 747 that transports the shuttle. On the pedestal on top are stenciled the words, "Place orbiter here, black side down."

That was absolutely hilarious.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

It's funny to think of how many lives these people are responsible for.
