There was a kid who did that over the Internet here in the UK and she got charged with creating and distributing child pornography, I think she may have also been added to the sex offenders registry.

Maybe the kid was just trying to get a jump start on a career as a porn star. Gotta give her credit for her initiative.

Think about this. They're talking about serious repercussions for a 12 YEAR-OLD GIRL. They suspended her, which was the right thing to do. Anything more is crazy. She only needs to understand that she did something wrong.

It happens. When I was 8 a friend and I accidentally set a paper recycling bin on fire. It started out innocent enough, we just wanted to make a campfire and well.. yeah giant bin full of nothing but paper caught on fire.

For a while we thought I really was going to go to Juvie. That alone scared me away from anything that was flammable for a while.

But serisouly, you made some valid points. Sure she should be suspended and expelled. But beyond that we need to chalk this up to a 12 year-old made a mistake. Kids make mistakes all the time. They need to be told they were wrong and taught how to do right. Harsh punishment at her age can lead to some serious problems down the road. 12 is practically puberty for most girls. Puberty is a very confusing time for kids.

Kids do stupid stuff, there is no reason to put them in juvie unless they are malicious about it.
