Doesn't Michigan have the same law as most states where obtaining a driver's license automatically gives consent to undergo alcohol tests?

The expense in time, money, and manpower to haul off people who are suspected of drinking for a warrant will be so exorbitant that it will cause police to not even bother.



edit:
Perhaps this ruling only pertains to police who force teenagers to take a breath test even when there is no reason to suspect anyone was drinking? In other words if the teenager's driving, actions, behavior, etc makes one reasonable suspect they have been drinking then they can be required to undergo breath test as per implied consent laws.

But if the teenager isn't doing anything other than being a teenager coming from a party then the police can not give out breath tests without warrant.

If that is the case I could understand the reasoning.



yeah, upon further reading of the article it doesn't even mention driving. Probably just a bunch of kids being rowdy.
