I'm all for this but it'll be interesting to see if these offenders become "victims" of vigilantes on the road.

1. Way to encourage people to take the law into their own hands, this is a terrible idea.

2. Surely if they are driving around they have done their time.

3. By marking them they are saying "Just to warn you, this person may offend again, but we let them out of jail anyway and gave them a green plate"

I can't quote both Brownie and critters, but this is exactly why this got my attention. While I think these "convicted" offenders should be on "Life Parole" or otherwise. This may be a death sentence if they are in traffic.

Kleefisch said many sex offenders use their cars to commit crimes by driving to meet someone they met online or prowling parks and schools.

Yeah, and? Bank robbers do the same thing. So do those who commit vehicular manslaughter and those who sell pirated copies of "Star Wars" out of their trunks.

We have/had a plime member who mentioned that he is considered a sexual predator and has to introduce himself to his neighbors when all he did was streak through his highschool.

I thought about that. According to the article, I don't think this would apply to that person:

a bill that would require the most dangerous child molesters and sexually violent offenders to attach bright green license plates to their vehicles.
