OK ... his statement is literally quite true in my view: Our current scientific knowledge cannot fully "explain" creation. Neither can the bible, however.

Of course, the bible is not a scientific textbook and should never be used as such.

Yes, Christians (and everybody else!) SHOULD take a broader view: A broader view of science, which continues to develop, and also a broader view of religion.
