How to Fight Your Speeding Ticket
How to Fight Your Speeding Ticket
A motorist accused of driving at 37mph in a 30mph zone has had the case against him dropped after the prosecution decided it wasn’t worth the trouble.

I admire his investigative skills, and may use this information next time I'm busted. picked by gnikgnok 1 year ago

Or better yet, just don't speed.

That's somewhat of a blanket statement, even if the accompanying video is worst case...

It should read, "Don't speed if you don't know how to friggin drive the car you're in."

They don't make 'Stang GT's like mine for no reason, but you won't see me hoppin' in someone elses car and doing the same stuff.

Every car is like another woman. You can't just think and act that it's the same thing because they have the same parts.

**edit** For anyone who's curious, it's actually a good idea to try and fight any moving violation you get. When you go to court, the ticketing officer HAS to be there to present evidence countering your claim that you weren't speeding/had a good excuse to be speeding.

All the courts want is their money, one way or another. I've gotten several tickets for speeding knocked down to just "Improper Equipment" which carries the same fine.

It does not, however, count against my insurance or driving record.

I've tried that twice - both times, the officer showed up.

Dang... that's unlucky. Ours are always too busy to do the court appearances. They'll send one Officer down to represent and that's it.

I wonder how much money the guy had to spend for the court session. If not, then lucky him.
