A friend returned recently from a cruise that went through the Panama Canal. It was fascinating to hear his description, but better to finally see it!

I went through the "ditch", as us mariners call it, when changing homeport from Boston to Long Beach. Even though we did it at night I never needed my camera flash since it was lit up like daytime. Some of the more interesting features were floodlights on a few of the waterfalls approaching the locks.
