I'm going to the pancake breakfast at the VFW tomorrow morning. I can't eat more than 2 pancakes without getting too full. Then we go to the cemertery. I hate tomorrow.

I grew up Navy. Memorial Day was always about remembering. Often Dad and his buddies would have specific friends they lost. For that reason, I both love and hate this holiday. I do feel sorry for those that see it as "The unofficial start of the summer bar-b-que season".

We had our Memorial Day on Nov 11th up here in Canada. It makes me think of the amazing guests we get at our school who come to speak to the kids. It shocks these old boys quite a bit when they see the lack of respect and knowledge from some kids. Some don't want to know about it... don't care etc. Pisses me off.
