World's Oldest Camera Fetches Almost $800,000

Oops! Didn't think to look in other sections - thought this one would be a photography story for sure. Is there a way to delete you own posts... or what happens to stuff like this?

No... we've debated the merits of a "self destruct" button for your own posts. The community has pretty much adopted a rule that if something is posted elsewhere with a date stamp of 30 days or less - it's a dupe.

If you post the dupe, it's a courtesy to go upvote the original link and downvote your own.

That's about the only way it will get culled from the page. And don't sweat it - we all post dupes on occasion. Our search function isn't the most reliable feature here. :)
