ATTENTION PLIMERS! PLIME RESPECTABILITY THREATENED BY WAYWARD PLIME USER INDIEROCKCAFE
He is on a spiteful, no-reason-for campaign against me and a couple of other Plimers. Apparently, he began coming after some of us for criticizing him for marking down a new Plimer who didn't know the rules yet. He could have just told the new Plimer and not marked her down.

It's like someone coming up in a library and slapping your child in the face with a bare hand for raising his/her voice.

It's all completely unprovoked.

But we have to respond.

Indierock's actions of marking down everyone who disagrees with him or that he decides he doesn't like is a blatant abuse of the foundation of the Plime community.

A slap in the face to all Plimers. How dare he?

It doesn't make a difference if he doesn't have a job or is just a mean person, you cannot use your power as a Plimer to attack and run out other Plimers who have done NOTHING wrong.

This is not his first time. There have been other incidents in which he has personally attacked Plimers and then started marking down all their contributions.

Isn't that crazy? Is that what you want Plime to be?

Please mark down Indierockcafe wherever you see him post; he is bad for the Plime community. I could see if he had a point; but it's completely hateful and spiteful. I am marking up everyone who marks him down and also reporting him to The weight loss guy that posts his stuff and other Premium Plimers.

Thank you and let's keep some decency on this list or the people with the highest scores are going to block all of you from using Plime.

Indierock has started this troubling trend and it's even being reported on other sites like G.O.P.org what he is doing to hurt Plime and Plimers. At a time when the site is getting so much attention, it cannot afford to have someone like this going around and down marking everyone like some crazy person. It's not right and it's not acceptable.

Please vote down Indierock to show him and potential other hate spammers that Plime is a respectful community. Hopefully this discouraging news won't get out to the media and the blogs. Stop one person before a whole community suffers. That's why we have rules about ethics and abusive, racial remarks. Plime is too cool to take a hit from one person with a high ranking score.

If Plimers don't react and show BornBad and those who went along with him to bring down the site tonight that their actions are not acceptable, Plime itself is in big trouble.

I know someone who is going to add an article to WikiPedia about Plime being brought down by ONE user - BornBad and a few of his ramshackle friends who didn't take the time to investigate the real issue here.

Plimers, you can look at the Edit History portion of this and see that BornBad changed the original poster's comments (IndieRockCafe who has now been voted off Plime because of BornBad's lies).

I can tell you that people are already blogging about this incident and it could just end up on all the big news sites too if Plimers don't start upvoting IndieRockCafe and downvoting BornBad and any of his cohorts really fast before the media gets a hold of this and Plime is ruined forever.

Also, BornBad accused IndieRockCafe of writing stories to make ad revenues when in fact any of the ad revenues from IndieRockCafe blogs he actually donates to the Make A Wish Foundation. But BornBad doesn't care about helping making wishes come true for terminally ill children.

Ok, there's a few problems with your "thought process" here, BlueMonkey.

1. Plime never went down. Not sure where you got this, but it's wrong.

2. It wasn't just BornBad that edited your posts. I did the same, and if it was wrong, then downvote me.

3. If BornBad had the mindset of a megalomaniac tyrant, as you are describing him, he wouldn't be level 25 to begin with. He would have been downvoted off of the site in much the way Indie was.

The reason that Indie has been voted off Plime Island here is because he acted in a way that violated the rules. He was told repeatedly to post his blog in the forum where the blogs go. He decided not to do this. When he was confronted and downvoted accordingly, he went psycho. This is nothing but his own fault.

I am very concerned about the way people behave here. Indierockcafe had no right in posting blogs. Bornbad however does however have not the right to edit a post of Indierockcafe in favour of himself, even if it is only done once.

Now ofcourse I am not a arbitrator in this case (I'm just a poor little plimer) but I am a regular visitor here, and the last thing I want is this site become a fightground.

When I tried using the Plime site around 11pm PST, it was down. So either it was a coincidence or a minor outage.

Finally, whomever voted down IndieRockCafe did it out of spite. He contributed alot to the Plime Community before he was singled out.

I really hope that one bad user - BornBad - and anyone who helped hatch his plan get voted off.

What BornBad didn't realize is he single-handedly drove thousands of visitors to IndieRockCafe - where every cent made from ad revenue goes to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Ok, stop referencing the fact that Indie donates his revenue. We understand. This does not, however, put him above the rules in any way.

He was told numerous times to post his blog to the forums. If it was, it would have been no problem. It would have been seen by about the same number of people, and no harm would have been caused. There have been a few users who have posted their blog to the forum's designated page. And thebassman keeps us updated on what he's doing with his photography website. Most of Plime has no problem with this because he does it in the... you guessed it, FORUMS.

Look, the reason that blogging is not allowed is that it essentially is a commercial for the person making it, whatever content it has.
Usually they are very short, one page, and often just an opinion or view. It is neither news, or something fun, or bizarre. That's why news and posts from socalled "corporate" newssources are more appreciated here. This is not a charity site.

If you want to donate, then you can. But you still can't post blogs here.

The rules dictate that you can't post blogs, that has been decided here. And rules are rules. If you don't follow them, you will get reprimanded for it.
Bornbad is an "elite" because the majority of people upvoted him for his contributions. It is the PLIMERS that ensured he became elite. The socalled demise of Plime is thus controlled by the people that come here. If everyone started hating Bornbad, it will be seen in his score, but Plime will still exist.

Wow I thought this was a story about death worms. My mistake.

I know, How about what we do is move this to the forums or some such. That way, I would still be able to be entertained by the idea that The whole reason this unfair travesty is unfurling here at good old plime (island) is that bornbad and all of his mangy supporters actually hate make a wish foundation and want all suffering children to be hopeless. The forums also have the plesant side benefit of not being connected to a post about shockingly toxic death worms. The parallel could be drawn...now that I think about it. Still, move it.
