While The Secret has become a pop culture phenomenon, it also has drawn critics who are not quiet about labeling the movement a fad, embarrassingly materialistic or the latest example of an American propensity of wanting something for nothing.

What this FAD is doing, is taking how 'reality' actually works, and turning it into a materialistic, shallow, Capitalist-minded b*****dization of itself, completely raping the pure flow of Zen, Dharma, Luck, Synchronicity, Talent, The Force, whatever label you choose.
Similar to how many Xtians view Heaven as having streets paved with gold and walls of jasper, where everyone has a mansion and can eat whatever they want and never get fat. Material 'reality' squared DOES NOT equal the otherness! Whatever that 'really' is...

Material 'reality' squared DOES NOT equal the otherness! Whatever that 'really' is... I've never been a fan of this movie, or the idea behind it. One of my teachers thought that this was the best movie in the world, and that everyone should follow it's teachings; she then brought it in and wanted us to watch it. I, being familiar with the idea, politely told her about the same thing that DrNothing just typed. I then proceeded to walk out of the classroom. Almost the whole class followed me.
