Hehheh, true, your weight could change, but your mass would stay the same, though...

In fact it IS generally understood why gravity differs over the surface of the earth. Two major contributors:
1. Distance from the centre of the earth. The higher you are, the futher you are away, and so gravity is (somewhat) less.
2. Density of the rocks below your feet. The more dense the material below you, the higher gravity would be. See (for instance) the relative high density along the western coast of the Americas: Subduction of relatively dense oceanic crust underneath relatively less dense continental crust creates thicker and more dense crust in those zones, and therefore higher gravity.

1. Atmosphere 'escapes'
2. The Earth is slowing down
3. Moon is moving away from Earth

Is it me or do these seem directly related?

It ain't cow farts, volcanos, car emissions and CFCs that's to blame for our delpeating atmosphere and climate changes.

Of course the earth is slowing down. It's getting OLD. I don't move like I used to either. My spirit is young though.
