Well one way of looking at it, he is spreading his wealth around. Since the dawn of recorded history, the rich and famous have spent oodles on their appearances.

I'll buy that osiris12, if he's giving a struggling working single mother off the street $600 to cut his hair.

What's wrong with going to Supercuts or somesuch and paying $10 (or whatever it costs now) and giving the rest to charity. Or me. I'll cut his hair for $600!

Alright, touché. That is a good point. And....it might give him a boost in his poll numbers. True, I would even cut his hair for $100, would be pretty bad, since I don't cut hair.

No kidding. If you can't find something more newsworthy then lets pick on Edwards choice of hair cuttery. Okay.

If you want to see where he gets the money (that he can then spend on campaign haircuts), check out www.opensecrets.org. It's a non-profit, non-partisan research group that tracks campaign funding.
If you go here,
you can see how much each Pres. campaigner gets by industry.
