Black Holes Devour Matter Like Piranhas
Like gluttonous piranhas, supermassive black holes in young galaxy clusters gorge on bountiful gas until little fuel is left, and then they fade away. picked by AutumnLotus 1 year ago

'Black Holes' are not warp tunnels, giant piranhas, etc., they're simply huge balls of highly condensed matter that has such a large gravitational pull that it bends light into itself.

By the way, 'Black Holes' are not referred to as 'Black Holes' any more, because of petty semantics. They are now named 'Super High Gravity Points', which should clear up confusion about their origin and function from now on, or so one should hope...

"simply huge balls of highly condensed matter" isn't that simple. It has literally poked a hole in space-time thus opening the question that it could possibly be a "warp tunnel" to a theoretical "white hole." but that's just speculation.
That and there are other interesting effects due to it being a singularity.
Quantum mechanics really keep things from getting simple.

and no, Black holes are still called Black Holes.
here's the google result for "super high gravity point"
There was a satire article a little bit ago about changing the name of Black Holes to something, I forgot what it was but it wasn't too different from what you said.

and, oh, welcome to Plime.

Whatever you want to call these singularities (and the name Black Hole is just too catchy to fade away...) such discussion about their attributes, locations, development, etc., always impresses me with the absolutely HUMONGOUS scale of the universe out there. Our little world pales into insignificance.
