I have mixed feelings on this one...The mother was right in the way she handled her daughter and the police were right to come to her home to check it out. The only thing I think was done improperly was this:

"The officer said it was inadvisable to shout at her daughter and shut her in the car after what happened to missing Madeleine."

IMO..The officer should have just said that he was checking up on the incident to ensure the child was safe, and bow downed quietly when it was found out that she was. If the cop truely told the mom what SHE did was "inadvisable" then I'd say he's wrong. But we'll probably never know what really happened.

But I don't think the mom should be upset the police showed up..they were just making sure the kid wasn't being harmed. I'd tell her this.."What if it was your child screaming in ANOTHER person's car because she was being abuducted?..would it have been wrong to go to THAT person's house?" I know if a cop told me that...I'd agree and shut up...and probably thank him.

Is the mother even alive? She looks like she needs her head removed or her brain destroyed.

That was truly horrible. I know.
