They beat out google for this small percentage of facebook. Multiplied out it pushes the value of facebook up to $15 billion. In case that number doesn't sound all that big, it is $15,000,000,000 picked by sykeo56 11 months ago

Why the downvote? Is it a dupe? It clearly isn't anything offensive or upsetting. It isn't from a blog. It's from the NY Times, which is probably one of the most reputable news source in existence. It's just business/technology news.

I'm not gonna cry about it, I'm just kinda curious.

I swear I already upvoted this, and it's telling me I didn't.

There have been stories in the past about Facebook and how Yahoo and others were offering to buy a share.

I think this is new news.

To compare 1 million to one billion... It takes around 11 days to count 1 million seconds. 31 years to count one billion seconds. 15 billion. Holy s**t.

I just don't understand the whole hype about Facebook.
It's invasive, intrusive and laughing in the face of privacy. And now in combination with Microsoft it's going to be a pain in the arse!

I hope MS is not going to incorporate it into their OS.

Oh, and for your information:
