The first few look like bugs. That candycap looks like something my cats found under the fridge after a few months and I would like my bacon just plopped on my plate, not spinning in a gyroscope.

The photography is lovely though.

Beautiful photography: ugly food. Am I wrong, or is the "thing" in that first image just a bunch of grapes with all the grapes removed? Mmmm, tasty!

I ate at Alinea last Thursday for the first time.. half of the food was amazing the other half was a little too quixotic to be appealing. The presentation was overwhelming. If you live in Chicago..( or are ever here,0 you MUST eat at Macello, on lake street. It is incredible.
