I've only gone through half of these as I must get to bed, I'll savor the rest tomorrow.
These are the ones I find most evocative:
10 (really get the strongest feelings about this image of all of them) 18 honestly...amazing 20 tragic and sad 36 also tragic and sad 43 somehow hopeful and sad 49 :(
All the images are interesting and compelling, but those stand out so far.

«Chamale : Image 49 (the one with combat boots representing everyone who died in Iraq) made me think, "So what?"
If you used a marble to represent each Iraqi civilian killed in the war, you could fill every pair of boots there.
So what? This is the value that you put on a loss of life? So What?
Regardless of who died, I fail to see how this became a contest. It was in memory of military men and women who lost their lives. If you would like to do something in memory of the civilians that have died, why don't you take a picture of a bunch of boots filled to the brim with marbles and display it as such. To discount the death of others is, in my opinion, not only distasteful but uncalled for.
