Makes sense.
I believe the tide is turning against cremation in terms of it's green credentials, but this would give it a bit of a boost.

I don't think cremation is any more or less green than today's traditional burial techniques. I think the only 100% green funeral practice is placing the unembalmed body in an untreated pine wood casket in a hole in the middle of the woods somewhere.

Undoubtedly, the self-composting approach is the best, but other than that, concerns about vaporised mercury from fillings, energy consumed in the form of gas etc. outweighs the ongoing costs of plot maintenance (grass cutting, pesticides, etc) of a traditional burial.
