I didn't have the sound on, but she sure seemed happy and easy going during this. Have I been lied to all these years? Was she on the good drugs?

There is no way I could be the calm while giving birth. My last delivery was with no drugs (no epi, no spinal..no iv drug, NADA)and OMFG...the pain was horrible.

So anyone who can go au naturale with no drugs, and not seem to be in pain..well, they are more woman than I...lol.

That ecstatic gleeful sound and curled-up hug she gave her baby at the end made me all teary-eyed.

I read somewhere (not sure if it was a link here) that some women experience orgasms during childbirth. At any rate, her reaction when she held the baby was incredible.

I've watched my wife give birth to both my daughters, one natural and one induced, I really don't think that was this womens' first child. Still yet props to her for keeping it together and not having any help other than her husband and midwives.

A woman's body produces natural pain-dampeners and tonnes of endorphins to compensate the extreme discomfort (read:pain) of giving birth.
An orgasm… it's possible, though I don't know of any woman who has had an orgasm going through labour.
Nursing can also provide pleasure to a woman and many feel uncomfortable when nursing their child because of it (associating sensual pleasure with your baby may be... somewhat problematic).
