What can an unwanted child grow up to be besides an unwanted adult?

I mean in reality not is some fantasy in which some smartass would say "anything they want to be". The problem is most kids in the "system" are abused and grow bitter and have a hard time not feeling unwanted. that makes for some hard living. There are some that work hard at overcoming their bitterness and become great people, sure you are correct. But what about the rest?

Where is the compassion of the Christian Conservative and the government when these people grow up? What is the first thing that gets cut when the government needs money? Human Services.

Arrrg!!

My sentiments exactly.

Not to mention how many more children would be born to addicted mothers or would suffer from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It's bad enough those children would be unwanted, but to be almost guaranteed developmental issues on top of that.

When you are considering a conservative govt the idea is not to have the government handle such issues (because they fail and don't know what frugal means) but rather to have churches, and non-profit organizations take over most of it.

Abortion is a tricky issue though, almost controversial if you will. Personally I would rather focus on prevention since it is not only safer, it is also shall we say... less stressful?

Prevention is ideal, and frankly, arguing over the effects of abortion is moot.

Pro-lifer's will stand by their guns because they/we truly believe that fetus's are considered human life and deserve the basic right to life.

If someone makes an argument on how killing all the black people will empty the prisons and keep crime down, would you consider it? no. it's atrocious.
I understand what you're saying, pulsisx, but to one who is against abortion, it sounds like "kill them before they go bad." Just letting you know.

Pro-choicer's, of course, believe their fighting for a woman's right to her own body, so they'll gun it out as well.

I guess their is only one safe standpoint.
