A woman who killed herself and her sister's two small children by walking into oncoming interstate traffic had a minor car accident and State Police cited her just hours before the double murder-suicide.

My comment is nothing against posting this whatsoever.
However, how slow of a news must it be for this item to be newsworthy and to have as much space devoted to it as this did. More likely,is it a case of the paper/site trying to milk as many clicks as possible.
The fact that she was stopped for a minor traffic incident hours before she murdered two children has no bearing whatsoever on the killings. Perhaps if she was stopped for dragging children into the middle of the highway, than it would be pertinent.
The only connection a traffic accident and the killing of the kids have is it happened on the same highway.
That would be like a story showing that the killer of John Lennon bought pizza from a street vendor just blocks from Lennon's apartment hours before he killed him.

Oh 2many, I guess you've never been suicidal. Having been so myself, I know it's something that is with you for days, if not longer, before you act.
It was my thought that her "minor traffic accident" was in part, her first attempt of the day, but she didn't 'try' hard enough so upped the ante.

It was my thought that her "minor traffic accident" was in part, her first attempt of the day, but she didn't 'try' hard enough so upped the ante. That may be, but it still has no bearing. there was no way for anyone to know she was going to murder her sisters kids and herself while she was at it.
I still think there isn't enough substance to run a story and that it was only ran to generate click for the website. Am I being cynical? Yes. Am I being completely ludicrous in my assumption of the sites desire to create more business for themselves, I don't think so.
