1) Shoot the lady who was lunging with a knife possibly attempting to stab someone.

or

2) Sit back and allow her to stab someone, possibly killing an officer. An officer who may very well have had kids of their own.

The police apparently acted in self-defense. 100% righteous. Even if someone says it was only an aggressive move. She wasn't really trying to stab someone. You don't know that. Nor does anyone have time. Would you be willing to take a chance if some lady was coming after you with a knife?

If they weren't pointing guns at her she'd hardly have been hiding behind her kids in the first place. Now they don't have a mum at all, even if she was a mental case.
