It's a very loving tribute to a generous man.

There was a special on PBS a little while back about Charles Shulz. It was very informative.

in st.paul they installed several statues of the peanuts characters as a tribute. they're in rice park (here's a few photos i took of them):

We lived a mile from Snoopy's Ice Arena which also had a small museum in it. I took my daughter there a lot for outings. She liked the drawings on the walls, and the huge cut outs of the Peanuts Gang. There was a gift shop. Until I lived in Santa Rosa, I had no idea he did. I learned a lot about Mr. Schulz in the year that we lived there. I love all his classic specials and still watch them to this day.
